Even on the whisper mode, the laptop fan would speed up to 40% randomly. Now I have to buy gaming laptop that at least has fan control in the bios.

The thermal sensors are kinda pointless - AC takes the temp from the CPU and both the sensors and uses the highest temp as a trigger for adjusting fan speed. So essentially it will always use the CPU temp. Did you connect the controller to a mobo fan header?
