Hurricane Rafael continues to gain strength as it heads toward Cuba, where landfall is expected Wednesday before the storm moves into the Gulf of Mexico.
Rafael should stay hurricane strength while in the southern Gulf of Mexico, but as it moves north it will encounter strong shear, dry air and cooler waters.
