The proposition for the Harris County Flood Control District to provide more funding to flood mitigation efforts has been approved by voters.

Bond elections for school districts, municipal utility districts, and the Harris Flood Control District are among the propositions on the Nov. 5 ballot.

On election day, over 250 Harris County tax office employees will be trained to answer election judge and voter questions. The Harris County Tax Office has traditionally assisted the Harris County Clerk’s Office by answering calls during early voting and election day.

If approved, Proposition A would fund the ongoing maintenance and operation of the district’s flood risk reduction infrastructure.
