Erwan heats things up with his own version of Southeast Asian spicy sambal chili paste. Sambal is used as a dip, condiment, sauce, base stock, and rub so it's great to have on hand in the kitchen!
Another element for excellent rendang is the sambal sauce that comes with it. The Mandarin’s sambal is famous in Jakarta, so make sure to have a taste of it! Of course, I had to try the nasi goreng.
