From Oscar contenders to nostalgic classics, there are plenty of great new movies streaming on Netflix in November 2024.

One of Martin Scorsese’s most celebrated and memorable films, and possibly his last unimpeachable classic, Goodfellas charts the rise and fall of a wannabe gangster who works his way into the Mob in 1950s Brooklyn, then finds the organization’s focus and fortunes changing radically over the decades that follow.

Netflix has been on a roll with original movies, and its latest thriller "Don't Move" continues the trend. From directors Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, and producer Sam Raimi, it plays out in real-time as a grieving mother named Iris (Kelsey Asbille) sets out on a hike and comes face-to-face with a sadistic killer stalking the remote forest.

A stretch of fall still exists ahead of Christmas, and there are plenty of new shows arriving on streamers this month so either binge or follow along into the remaining holidays of the year. Those in the mood for mystery can dive into Bad Sisters on Apple TV+ starting Nov.

Several of the best streaming services from Peacock to Prime Video will have special coverage. And there’s plenty of fun TV to reward yourself with when all the important stuff is over. The most important television of the week takes place on Tuesday after everybody has voted in the 2024 Presidential Election.
