At least seven people are dead and several others critically injured after a gangway collapse at a landing dock on Georgia's Sapelo Island.

The aluminum gangway was 80 feet long and eight-feet wide, according to the Georgia Division of Natural Resources. It connected from a dock to a floating dock where people would load onto a ferry.
