A Redondo Beach man was arrested Friday in connection with a suspicious bag that was left outside the Torrance courthouse this week, authorities said.

Torrance Superior Court was closed on Wednesday morning, Nov, 13, after authorities evacuated the building because of a suspicious item. Around 7:15 a.m., Torrance police were called in to assist the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department at the courthouse, Torrance Lt. Paul Kranke said. A suspicious package had been found, prompting the evacuation.
