Hi. I would like to know how rough the water is on a Bosphorous cruise. I don’t have any sea legs and would feel quite unwell if the water is choppy. I assume that it is tidal and there are waves. Is this correct? Many thanks.
答:
Don't worry! In good weather is almost like a lake. There aren't big waves.
Hi, How much would be cost per person? Does the boats leave at any scheduled time? How long would the trip take?

When I traveled the ferry from to Kadikoy (Asian side) to Eminou (European side, near the Blue Mosque), a token cost 4TL (one way). I used my Istanbulkart, so the cost was 2,15 TL. The Istanbulkart, is a great deal, allowing travel on buses, trams, the metro, and public ferries at a bit over half price. Once you buy the card (you can get it at the airport), you can reload it at metro stations and other places with yellow kiosks (cash only!). The Kadikoy - Eminou ferries leave every 20-30 minutes. TripAdvisor guidelines prevent me from providing an URL, but I entered "Istanbul Ferries" in my web browser and found lots of information at the Turkey Travel Planner web site. Enjoy your trip!
I would like to go to Istanbul in May 2020. I will be staying at Sultanahmet near the blue mosque. How to reach Bosphorus Cruise from hotel availing public transport? Is there any specific time for cruise or I can take it anytime of the day? If I choose evening cruise, Will there be arrangements for entertainment program? Is it complimentary with the cruise tickets?

I highly recommend the public ferry. I have used the ferry several times; several ferries leave from the Eminonou terminal, about 1.25 km from the Blue Mosque, at the foot of the hill. The T1 tram which serves the Blue Mosque area has a stop at the Eminonou terminal. The ferry runs every 20 minutes, 7 am until 1 am the following morning. No reservations are required, so it is quite flexible. There is a small snack bar on the ferry (mostly coffee), and there are lots of restaurants/cafes in Kadikoy (on the Asian side). Although the ferry is not as elegant as a cruise, it is a much cheaper alternative, one that is used by the locals. At night the harbor lights are as beautiful from the ferry as from a Cruise ship. Enjoy your trip!
